Random, aka Mega Ran. Teacher, Rapper, Hero. A 14-year music veteran, middle school teacher and videogame aficionado, Random’s songs are filled with all of the heartache, pain, triumph, tragedy and fun that come with everyday living. A Philadelphia native and Phoenix transplant, graduate of Penn State University and former middle school instructor, Random speaks to the everyman, transcending race or class barriers.”I never want anyone to predict my next move,” he says. You can, however, expect the unexpected from Random, hence the name.

Random’s unique combination of fantasy and true to life music has garnered him respect and admiration from the genre’s toughest critics; Not many independent artists can boast having music utilized in television (TNA Wrestling, Portlandia), videogames (Rock Band, among others), movies, and university courses in several colleges in the US (Temple, Virginia Tech, Miami among others). Now that’s Random.

Baltimore’s synth rock video game tribute band!

Rare Candy started in the Summer of 2007 when Chris brought up an idea of his to have Matt play keys in Entertainment System. This idea unfortunately fell through so the two of them started jamming around themselves once every few weeks on some random video game songs just for fun. Every now and then JD, who also played in ES with Chris, would sit in on drums during a couple of sessions. A few months later, Chris happened on a random post in the MAGFest forums from a guy in Baltimore who was looking to jam with some other local musicians. This guy of course was Dom. Chris invited him to sit in for a session or two and oddly enough it turned out that Matt was already a friend of his. Dom started playing with the band regularly and JD began manning the skins more often. After a while, Chris, who was currently playing guitar in the band, decided that there just wasn’t enough low end in the band’s sound so he started to man the bass for a few of the songs. As time went on, he eventually stopped playing guitar completely and moved exclusively to bass. After a while, the band learned a ton of material and started to have practices more frequently. Many of the songs eventually began to evolve (har har) while others were cut completely. After a while, Entertainment System was forced to take a short hiatus from live performances due to having to replace a few band members. During this time, Rare Candy began filling in for the shows that had already been booked for ES. A year later, after many requests from their fans, Rare Candy decided to take things a step further and record a full studio album. The band currently is still actively playing out, recording, and obviously, training their pokimans. It’s funny to think that the whole project kind of started out as a joke.

(320kbps MP3 + FLAC)

Danimal Cannon had humble beginnings in the hobbyist video game music scene. After years of honing his musical skills he found his voice writing chiptune music using a Nintendo Gameboy. In addition to that, he’s also currently known as a producer, game composer, recording engineer, and has released albums with Metroid Metal and Armcannon in addition to his solo work. After being on featured on more than 10 albums, Danimal is still attempting to take his brand of chipmusic crossed with guitar wizardry to new levels.

Second full length album from Dethlehem. Follow them along in their quest to find the Keeper of the portals and their battle with the evil-warlock, Dregmour!

(320kbps MP3 + FLAC)

Dethlehem… a band of warriors on a quest for one of two things: achieving maximum XP or delivering face-melting metal, whichever comes first. When their home realm, Ghorusalem (Pittsburgh, PA), fell to an ancient evil, the group of heroes rose together to do battle under the cursed sky! Influenced by melodic metal, progressive rock, maidens in distress, epic solos, RPGs, and delicious ale, Dethlehem brings a unique, tongue-in-cheek stage show to each realm they visit. Huge foam sword battles in the crowd, an 8’ tall fog-breathing stage dragon, treasure goblins, and beautiful maidens are not at all uncommon. Dethlehem’s light show, harnessed by studying ancient spell-books known today as “Manuals For Operation,” adds to the intensity.

Dethlehem has been leveling up, combining metal, comedy, partying, and fun into an entertaining stage show. Since being selected as a finalist in Metal Insider & Scion’s Top 20 “No Label Needed” unsigned metal band contest in 2010, Dethlehem has picked up momentum with plans to increase their already busy touring schedule. These RPG-Metal warriors have shared the stage with the likes of GWAR, Gojira, Protest the Hero, Powerglove, Alestorm, The Protomen, Last Chance to Reason, Dio Disciples, 3 Inches of Blood, and more! Level-up with Dethlehem at Magfest 12!

Hello, reader! My name is Michael, but I go by the name of “Flexstyle” on the internet. I’m heavily involved with a site by the name of OverClocked ReMix (http://ocremix.org), and these songs are a sampling of what I’ve done over there. I’ve got themes from Mega Man, Donkey Kong Country 3, Wild ARMs, Starcraft, and many more in this package! This is a collection of songs that you won’t be able to find in one place anywhere else on the web, and there’s even a special song in here that hasn’t been released ANYWHERE yet.

I’ve also got a large selection of original material available for whatever price you choose to pay, and there’s a link to that just down below. I also have written music for a few open source games, as well as an upcoming action puzzle game called “Trace Vector” (http://trace-vector.com).

Basically, I love music, I love creating music, and I love making people enjoy the fruit of my hard work. Please spread the word!
