Hi, I am Rian Diasporah and I own a indie label called Sub:lvl Audio. I originally approached the great folks at Groupees.com with an idea to help out a Youth Theatre in Detroit that just does a phenomenal job giving children and young adults a creative outlet. I also believe that there is strength in numbers so I approached longtime pioneering Detroit techno label KMS Records, Marshall Applewhite of Yo Sucka! Music I also proposed the idea to a good friend of mine in the UK who runs a professional sound design company , Biome Digital, LTD. They all helped reinforce the point that music and the creation of art and the expression of theatre can change lives and inspire and were instrumental in the completion of the campaign. I want to thank them for the support.
The label means a absolute lot to me and and it was very humbling to reach out for help in a time when the music landscape is so fickle and daunting. There is some great music from all the artists involved in this bundle. They are from all walks of life and are from all around the globe. I believe there is literally something for everyone so don’t worry if you have never listened to much electronic music, you can still feel the passion in the work with each thump of the bassline or kickdrum. I also wanted to note that Sub:lvl is not a techno label, but we brought on techno labels to help out. This may leave you scratching your heads, but this is mainly because Techno music helped break barriers and paved the way for electronic music as a whole. It’s sometimes good to take a look around a give props when props due.
