On Every Man For Himself, I stayed true to the Archnemesis sound by using the soul, funk and hip-hop samples, but also leaned more towards a slightly harder and more aggressive sound than anything released before. I think it embodies and encompasses the overall Archnemesis sound while still allowing room for growth and evolution. I love having the opportunity to play music live for you all, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoy creating it. See you out there at a show sometime soon!
Since its inception in 2009, the Archnemesis sound has been in a constant state of evolution. With musical beginnings firmly established through a strict regimen of classical training on the cello and piano, eventually jazz theory and composition crept in, and more instruments like bass, drums and guitar were discovered and learned. The culmination of this vast musical knowledge ultimately shaped the Archnemesis sound before propelling it through a variety of analog stratospheres and into the digital realm of electronic music production. With a sound based primarily in, but not limited to, “electro hip-hop soul”, Archnemesis continues to evolve musically and socially by encompassing all styles and genres of music while simultaneously welcoming in all the fans that follow those genres. Through extensive national touring, Archnemesis has created a steadily growing fan base aptly dubbed the “Nemesis Army”, and strives to create an un-biased community both online and at live shows where anyone can express themselves without discrimination. Also, by using music as a platform for outreach, Archnemesis is constantly generating new and innovative ideas to foster a community and encourage change.

Elements is a tribute to alchemy, the transformation of matter. I always believed that sampling has the potential to transform a dusty, forgotten moment into a vibrant landscape of fantastic impossibilities. Music has an alchemic property, transforming silence into song, nothing into something. I chose Fire, Air, Water, and Earth, the four basic element of alchemy, as seeds for these songs. The first, Slivers of Light, represents fire, the sun, and the light given by both. Your Ghost, a song dedicated to the memory of my father Tadeusz Menert, signifies the element of air, and the unseen spirits therein. Eventide’s two parts embody the duality of water: Part 1 is the turbulent high tide, water’s destructive powers, crashing along the shores into Part 2, which sweeps through the lifegiving and cleansing properties, a low tide of sorts. The album closes with Quiet Earth, a song for my mother, Jolanta, as well as the earth that we chisel away at as a species. This song begins with the noise of humanity, with a lone voice crying out “Do you see, just what you mean to me” until the commotion calms, signifying the end of us, a finality, a quiet earth. I hope you enjoy what I consider my favorite work so far, remastered and released as a whole, digitally, for the first time ever.
Growing up in Colorado, Michal Menert was surrounded by music. During his childhood, Michal’s father exposed him to a wide variety of Eastern and Western music, along with the guitar and keyboard. Additionally, dabbling in a variety of other instruments gave him a unique approach to crafting his own style. Michal’s most significant motivation is “the opportunity to chase a fleeting feeling that comes from certain moments in music, coupled with the privilege of having a platform to give audiences a glimpse into that feeling.” He also grew up with Derek Vincent Smith of Pretty Lights and together they played in several bands and challenged and inspired each other as they developed their own unique production styles. Michal is also inspired by Western bands and artists such as Joy Division, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, David Bowie and Genesis as “all these bands put emphasis on the mystique and wonder that an album can carry.” Additionally, he credits Eastern European bands and artists like Niemen, Marek Grechuta, Tadeusz Wozniak, Holy Toy and Skaldowie for teaching him how to “take elements of existing Western pop and twist it to tell their own story.” He adds,” That’s all helped me see the scope of a vision coming alive through music.”

I love this album and cained it through the summer in the car, I found it in a pile of promos and had no idea what I was putting on but the sleeve artwork looked dead cool with a 70’s feel to it. I love its total creativity and the way it freely explores sounds, samples, vocals and beats. Amp Live (of Zion I) pulls in influences from dance music, jazz hip hop and broken beats. Throws them in a pot, adds some orchestral strings and cooks up a concerto. Stand out tracks 100,00 Watts and Last Wall. -Toast Magazine
Amp Live is the latest up and coming beat maker hailing from California, one of hip hop’s most thriving centers. Amp’s building a rep as one of cali’s most talented and diverse producer/djs. Most importantly Amplive’s most recent success has been his critcally acclaimed “Rainydayz Remixes” album for the rock group Radiohead’s In Rainbows LP. Govinda is the alter-ego of Austin based producer/composer Shane Madden. From experiences learning violin with mysterious masters on his journeys across the globe and his passion for modern design and technology, the current sound of Govinda was born.
Govinda has played with Thievery Corporation, Tipper, Bassnectar, Shpongle, Cheb I Sabbah, STS9 and many more and been featured on over 25 compilations such as Buddha Bar II, Asian Travels II, and Nirvana Lounge selling a combined 400,000 copies. by Manic Focus
Manic Focus is the musical conception of John “JmaC” McCarten that breaks the bounds of the typical electronic music realm. Being classically-trained on piano at an early age, his musical talents have brought him through the realms of hip-hop beats and electronic music, having now evolved into the dynamic, bass-induced sounds of Manic Focus. A Minnesota native and recent transplant to Chicago, this producer is now blowing up the EDM music scene and gaining a huge following. Manic Focus isn’t your typical electronic dance music. His first album, Definition of the Rhythm, provides a broad array of musical creations, from energized hip-hop hits to tranquil grooves with funky flow. His dark bass lines and popping beats drive the tracks along, while spellbinding melodies and carefully-chosen vocal samples entrance the listener. His second album, Expanding Mind, showcases how Manic Focus is broadening his sound, from the murky depths of heavy bass music toward a funky, bass-laden dance vibe. Also dipping into the realms of house and drum & bass music, Manic Focus is exploring a world of new sounds and producing pure musical magic. To accompany the first single, “Circles”, he premiered his first ever music video, featuring the world-famous Hula Hoop artist, Lisa Lottie, and produced by Digital Skylight. This album, overall, demonstrates his incredible creativity in mixing all genres, as his musical ability evolves.
by Blue Stone
Blue Stone are the production duo Robert Smith and Bill Walters. Both write, produce, program and arrange all the music for Blue Stone. The music is electronic based, but the group uses many organic sounds and natural percussion to elevate the sound beyond simple electronica. World music, tribal rhythms and lush orchestration are the underpinning for melodic female vocals and harmonies that give the music its ethereal texture or “angelic” sound. The vocalists featured include: Sara Bloomfield, Sheyenne Rivers, Samantha Sandlin, Sara Day Evans, Veronica Gunter and guests like Bridin Brennan. To date, Blue Stone have released 5 albums including their most recent, Pandora’s Box. Their debut, Breathe, focused on chants and operatic vocal treatments, while the stunning “World’s Apart” and its successor “Messages” placed strict emphasis on song structure and more pop-like vocal arrangements. Pandora’s Box, released on May 31, 2011 is Blue Stone’s first “all instrumental” recording, and takes on a more laid back, psychedelic and moody feel. 2011 see’s Blue Stone releasing a late year EP of “vocal tracks” to supplement the instrumental release and to keep those fans of their vocal-based music fully engaged. Blue Stone’s use of video and trailers for promotion as well as their very active facebook and twitter page/accounts keep friends and fans up to date on all that is in the works. A consistent producer of fine electronic music, Blue Stone are here to stay. They don’t deviate too far from what got them here - but they will always push the musical envelope to stay at the forefront of their genre, and to satisfy what they consider some of the most beautiful people anywhere - their fans.
