Inspired by the TV show “Adventure Time” and the web cartoon “Bravest Warriors” created by Pendleton Ward on Cartoon Hangover, Kubbi and Jonas Dam decided that it was time for another collaboration. Sharing much of the same musical interests and passion for producing while also being roommates, this collaboration was inevitable. This 4 Track EP of original music is a dedication to everyone at Cartoon Hangover, Breehn Burns, Pendleton Ward and all other fans of their work.

Throughout 2012 Kubbi released 3 full length albums, Transmittance, Sleet and Circuithead. Some might think this already is more than enough, but heck no. Next to the album releases he produced several independent singles, released on his Soundcloud. This album is a collection of these tracks, remixed and mastered in HD quality. It shows the more childish, unceremonious and playful side of Kubbi that to some point is left behind in the process of writing an album.

2012 Singles offers a variety of genres and an eclectic sound with the Kubbi signature producing style still recognizable. The tracks are not sequenced in chronological order, but the evolution of the Kubbi sound is still discoverable.

All songs are written on Renoise, except “4 Repeating Chords” which was written in Open Modplug Tracker.

Circuithead is the 4th full length album written and produced by Kubbi. It was written between May 2012 and November 2012. The album contains 9 tracks and the two bonus tracks “Machinery” and “Flicker”.

Circuithead is an odyssey through hard hitting grooves, catchy melodies and relaxing atmospheres. It is based on traditional chiptune music infused with modern synthesizers, samples and progressive elements.

“Pikselhjerte” (Pixel Heart) - An animated love letter to retro games in the eighties/ninetees.

With the help of escapism through video games and a boundless imagination, the twins: Eik and Iris, may be facing other challenges to overcome than just plain old boredom.

I made these tracks way back and decided I could put them together as an album. This is where it all started.

This was the first Kubbi album with a concept, taking you through the cold and harsh atmospheres of a Norwegian winter through the eyes of a Norwegian dreamer.

The songs on this record were released one by one through 2011-2012 and was put together to make the album in May 2012.

An extended special edition of Ember, featuring 3 never before released tracks. 2 of which are songs that concludes the album with a different ending and a 2016 remake of the track “Concrete”. Also includes brand new artwork by Karl Ørn Ericksen and stems for the track Cascade.
