Rice Cultivation Society is a band that grew out of singer-songwriter Derek Smith’s lo-fi recording projects. Playing a blend of indie-rock, folk, and prog, the songs shift in shape and style, and reflect a sense of wonder at the outer and inner world. The band is currently recording it’s follow up to last year’s “Sky Burial.”

From Long Island, NY, HEAVY DUTY SUPER EGO make music to remind you that all you’ve ever had is now. Inspired by rock and folk greats like Neil Young, Flaming Lips, Wilco, and The Kinks; HEAVY DUTY SUPER EGO craft original songs with traditional elements to form a sound both familiar and fresh. Singer/guitarist Josh Morin and guitarist James Usher of Edison Glass (Credential/EMI CMG), singer Theresa Spadola and bassist Bud Spadola of Jebus, and drummer Ryan Broderick of Coalition and Ravalias were drawn together by a natural love for songwriting and live performance.

HDSE are currently recording their follow up full length with Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw, Head Automatica, Color Film) and TJ Penzone (Men, Women, and Children, These People) aka Softnoise Production.

This Damn Universe, the brainchild of Andrew Iovino and Justin Blaser, was born October of 2010. Stylistically explosive and sonically complex, This Damn Universe weaves a tapestry of stuttering bassy beats, old-skool synths, classical music and layer upon layer of vocal effects and harmonies to form a sound all their own.

Christine Sweeney and the Dirty Stayouts is a unique indie blues pop band from Long Island, NY. With a voice as powerful as it is sultry and sweet, Christine Sweeney deftly handles poppy and playful without sacrificing genuine emotion. The band has been compared to blues group Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, citing the energy of their live performance. Notes of blues, jazz, and folk can be found sprinkled in the music. The group celebrates the release of its first recording, Lune et Lumière, released in August 2014.

More Than Skies is the singer-songwriter project of Long Island native, Adam James. Dating back to 2006, he has gone on to independently release the 2011 EP, “The Liar, The Puppet, The Fox” and 2012’s LP, “I Am Only Above The Ground”. His musical style has been best described as honest, orchestrated folk-rock with a healthy helping of angst. Each live performance brings something unique to the listener, whether performing as a band or as a solo artist, the passion and vigor remains in tact. He will make his triumphant return on March 24th, 2015, with a self-titled double LP that is as intricate and dynamic, as it is personal.

AllOne (Bruce Pandolfo) is an experimental hip-hop lyricist, performance poet, singer/songwriter and author from Long Island. He endeavors to mold a brain into the shape of a heart, squeezing it onto a page to write thought provoking and sentimental lyrics laced with tightly knit wordplay, interesting rhyme patterns, references and vocabulary, along with an array of poetic devices. Utilizing any genre and any musical means across various projects to make a genuine and meaningful conversation with the ever loved and appreciated listener.​

The Vigilance Committee is a four-piece rock band hailing from Long Island, NY. The group is made up of longtime friends and musicians, Peter J. Scoma (guitar), Christian Cepeda (guitar), Phil Corso (drums) and Jesse Asch (bass). The band started in 2009, originally as a four-piece rock outfit featuring harpist Stephanie Babirak. Since then, The Vigilance Committee transformed into the indie/punk quartet it is today with a firm grasp on its sound and identity. They released their debut LP “Lost Again” in May 2014 and followed that up with their summer EP, “Love the Sea” later that year. They have been touring the New York/northeast region in support of those two releases as they begin formulating their next move. The Vigilance Committee already has its sophomore LP, “Exit a Hero” in its earliest stages with an anticipated completion date of early 2015. Moral of this story? This group is wasting no time to deliver its unique brand of indie rock infused with punk and progressive roots.
