by Biffers
Hailing from Livorno, on the west coast of Tuscany, the Biffers first became active in 2009, creating a classic punk rock sound inspired by the California scene of the late 1980’s, but also drawing from influences of R&B and British indie rock. They came to the attention of Kung Fu Records when Vandals bassist and label owner Joe Escalante took notice of one of their infectious jams posted directly to the Kung Fu Records Facebook page!
Says Joe, “They posted an amazing song right on our page. They made it very easy for us. The Biffers are one of those bands, like the Ramones, with the ability to break down a genre, and build it back up again with an innocence and simplicity that was somehow lost along the way as others in the field have taken punk rock for granted. The result is a happy re-interpretation of punk rock where each song hits you like a shot of Galliano, which by no coincidence is distilled and bottled in The Biffers hometown. This album is a drinking game waiting to happen!”
The Biffers “Whoa!” is available in the digital universe and in stores that sell Kung Fu Records worldwide from August 5th, 2014! Biffers released a DIY 7” in Jan 2011. In 2013 they released their first album Whoa! in CD with Inconsapevole Records, followed by some shows in their home country and five European tours. An EP called Frankie Road is out through Greenway Records in vinyl and Kung Fu Records in the digital world from June 9th 2015.

by Blowfuse
Nowadays BLOWFUSE is one of the most known and active punk rock bands of their country, Spain. The band, hailing from Barcelona, was founded in 2008 and began playing shows under the name Godfarts. While gaining renown as Godfarts they released their first album “Messed Up Minds” in 2010. The band was renamed to Blowfuse in 2013 and released their second full-length “Into The Spiral” in the same year. The album was recorded, produced and mixed by Darian Rundall, who has previously worked with bands like Pennywise, TSOL, Suicidal Tendencies and U.S. Bombs.
After a lot of shows and tours the band started working on the next big thing, the seven track EP “Couch”. The album was released on various labels worldwide, including Morning Wood Records. Blowfuse went on a three month European tour in support of the album and recorded the release show in Barcelona for the manic home video “Live From The Couch”.
So far the band has toured Europe multiple times, played the critically-acclaimed Ressurection Fest in 2013 and shared stages with bands such as Pennywise, Bad Religion, Millencolin, Face To Face and 7 Seconds. Influenced by 80’s and 90’s punk rock waves and the skateboard lifestyle, Blowfuse craft a style of its own by mixing the aggressiveness of hardcore punk, the catchy melodies of 90’s punk rock, the powerful classic rock riffs with acid and paranoiac lyrics.
Being as young as they are, living the best moments of their lives, Blowfuse are always working on new projects, preparing and doing tours, filming their peculiar videos… and of course commitment to the music!

After fronting various black metal bands, Maltais decided to lock himself up in a bedroom and create music inspired by his love of DIY punk, California surf punk, horror, sci-fi flicks, comics, video games, and skateboarding. The end result is a colorful blend of throaty pop vocals, gritty instrumentation, and California punk aesthetics old and new.”

2009 album from the Portland Garage Punk rockers. The 13 Garage Pop tunes on Are You Serious harken back to the Lookout! Records of the early ’90s, when Pop-Punk meant snotty low-brow three chord goodness and not glossy soundtracks to mall strolls. Like any good Cretin’s soundtrack, the songs about partying vs. songs about girls ratio leans fully toward PBR fueled Pogo Punk. Pitchfork already said the Mean Jeans come over like the Ramones mixed with a pinch of Joan Jett’s classic Bad Reputation and makes you want to slam dance with it’s guitar riffs and rollicking drumbeats.

by Straightline

Punk rock for metalheads or metal for punk rockers? Call it what you want, but Straightline’s skatepunk roots empowered with shredding, metallic riffs is something not to ignore. Straightforward, hard-edged, still always melodic and memorable. Originally released in 2013, and now for the first time out on CD through Morning Wood Records!
STRAIGHTLINE was found in 1998/99 and was named Softcore back then. They Recorded a Demo in 99 and a Demo EP in 2000. After that almost all members except the singer/guitarist Bart changed. So they decided to change the name as this was a different Band now. But the Style always stayed the same: fast melodic punk with some hardcore and metal influences.
After some more Demo stuff, small shows and some supportshows for bigger bands they recorded their first Album “No Way Out” in 2004 and released it in 2005. Although the album received very good feedback then, the rest of the band decided to go in other directions in 2007 and so Bart kept searching for new members again.
It took almost 3 years for Bart to find the right people. And so at the end of 2009 they started from zero again with a new drummer and a new bass player. With that line-up Straightline recorded the “Change of Seasons” EP in 2010 and also did a cover Song for the “A Tribute To Much The Same” sampler in 2012. The band also released a 7 inch EP called “Sourcrowd” in May 2012, featuring short 30 second songs in the vein of oldschool hardcore and thrash metal/crossover. It was a collection of all their short songs, which were always a part of their live shows.
In 2013 Straightline released the full-length “Final Redemption” and went on tour through Ukraine, Russia, Slovakia and Poland. As a result “Final Redemption” was also chosen for the “Release of the Year 2013″ at “Melodic Punk Style”. Straightline added a 2nd guitarist (Enrice) and a new Bassplayer (Herzner) to their line-up and toured again in 2014 with Dead Neck from the UK. Together they played in Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Belgium. Besides that Straightline also recorded a new EP called “Alteration of the Rules” in 2014.
