Elements of a gloomier Joy Division, an angrier Echo & The Bunnymen, a medicated Killing Joke, and even a lush layering of Peter Murphy” - all this, and vastly more, describes the immediately memorable 3D darkness of Beastmilk. Born in 2010 during a nuclear winter in Helsinki, Finland, the void-mothers of Beastmilk kick out an irradiated dust of what they appropriately dub “apocalyptic post-punk.” Their debut demo, White Stains On Black Tape, sold out quickly and earned the attention of Darkthrone’s Fenriz, who made it one of his favorites of 2010. In June 2013, they flew out to Boston, USA to record at GodCity Studio with the legendary Kurt Ballou (Converge), who produced their debut full-length album, Climax; the members of Converge found Beastmilk online, loved them, and ordered both their 7”s, with Ballou soon offering to produce their debut album at his world-famous studio. The result is Climax, an album of dark, driving anthems that work their magic instantly upon the first notes - fall in with the fallout and get down with BEASTMILK!

Apocalyptic visions and a wicked sense of humor populate audio nightmares as Beastmilk create visceral, unsettling death rock for the elite”, wrote Pitchfork of the band whose highly anticipated debut album poignantly combines haunting clean vocals, darkly shimmering melodies, and a throbbing rhythmic pulse to create an atmospheric yet energetic journey into post-punk’s past, present, and definitely its future.

A stunning masterpiece from Swedish composer Magnus Birgersson who once again takes us by surprise and delivers a wide, lush and electric 10th album.

[ Until we meet the sky ] has a an intensely cinematic sound; from introspective, wispy and intimate ambient electronica it slowly builds up to a shoegazing spirit engulfing the listener in an ethereal dreamworld. An album of dizzying beauty composed by Solar Fields as a one track story in twelve phases from nightscapes to the sky. Deep and addictive.

In the late 90s, Göteborg based Swedish composer Magnus Birgersson created Solar Fields, a project considered like one of the most productive and creative in the Scandinavian electronic music scene. As a high-tech sound designer and multi-instrumentalist, Magnus Birgersson developed Studio Jupiter, a living museum of machines in which he builds his unique sound universe, poles apart from current trends in the genre; with Solar Fields he explores the wide possibilities of electronic music from depth to floating atmospheres, cultivating contrasts and subtlety with brio.

In an interview Magnus recalls: “Music happened to me the day I was born. Been having music and instruments around me in the family from the very beginning. I started to play piano in the 70’s. During this period I also got introduced to synthesizers. In the mid 80’s I started to hook up synthesizers to computers and I’ve been doing that since then. I have also been involved in all kind of different projects, from guitar player in rock bands to pianist in jazz funk bands, and keyboard player in drum & bass bands.”

He currently collaborates with Vincent Villuis aka AES Dana on H.U.V.A. Network and T.S.R. in the company of Daniel Segerstad and Johannes Hedberg from Carbon Based Lifeforms.

Under moniker Solar Fields, he composed 12 albums and appeared on over 60 various compilations.
